How Our Network Works for Homeowners

Request an estimate

Who you talk to

You talk to an independent local provider. Not to Aimsdust Garage Doors staff on a truck. We pass along your request. The provider calls or messages you about the job.

Each provider runs its own business. Each sets its own schedule and its own prices. Many can respond quickly, but timing varies. Request a callback to check provider availability, or use the estimate form.

What they will ask you

Expect simple questions. Have these ready:

  • What is the door doing? Stuck, loud, crooked, or dead?
  • Did you hear a loud bang? That often means a broken spring.
  • How old is the door and opener?
  • One door or two? Steel, wood, or another material?
  • Any recent hail, ice, or a vehicle bump?

Photos help. A short video of the door moving helps even more.

Questions to ask a provider

Ask before you agree to anything. Good questions:

  • Can I get the quote in writing?
  • What does the price include? Parts, labor, travel, disposal?
  • Will you check track alignment and the springs while you are here?
  • Is there a fee just to come out? Does it apply to the job?
  • How long will the work take?
  • What is the warranty on parts and labor, in writing?

A clear provider answers plainly. Be careful if the answers are vague or the price changes without a reason.

Urgent problems

A stuck door can trap a car or leave a home open. If you need emergency garage service, say so up front. Ask what the provider can do and when. Do not try to release a spring yourself. Those springs hold a lot of force.

The decision is yours

You can compare more than one quote. You can say no. Providers do the work, and you choose who does it. Quote in writing, then decide.
